What we collect

Information you give us

Order details - your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address. We need these to take payment and deliver your order.

Payment information - handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the card type and the last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.

Messages - anything you send us by email or tell us on the telephone, together with our reply.

Marketing preferences - whether you have asked to receive our emails.

Information collected automatically

Technical information - your IP address, browser type and version, device type, and the pages you visit. This is collected as the site works and is used to keep it secure and running.

Cookies - small files the site stores on your device. Our cookie policy lists which ones and why.

How we use it

To take payment, pack your order and get it to you.

To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and tracking updates. These are service messages, sent for every order, and are not marketing.

To answer your questions and handle returns and refunds.

To keep the site secure, to prevent fraud, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations.

To send marketing email, only if you have asked us to, and only until you tell us to stop.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the businesses that help us run the shop, and only the part each of them needs. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Our payment processor, to take and secure payment.

Our shipping carriers, to deliver your order.

Google, which provides the analytics described below, and ParcelPanel, which powers the order tracking page.

Our website hosting and email providers, which store the site and send our email.

Our accountants, and government authorities where the law requires it.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to measure how the shop is found and used: how many people visit, which pages are read, and which links bring them here. Google processes that information on our behalf under its own privacy terms. Google Consent Mode is switched on, so the tag is told whether you have accepted or declined before it stores anything, and you can change your choice at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. We use no advertising or remarketing services. Separately, our shop software records how you first reached the site, and that stays on our own servers. Everything stored on your device is itemised in our cookie policy.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it.

Support email is kept for two years.

Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a record of the unsubscribe itself, so that we do not email you again by mistake.

Security

The whole site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Payment details are handled by a PCI-DSS certified payment processor and never reach our servers. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your information we will tell you promptly and explain what happened.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy of it.

Correct anything that is wrong.

Delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it.

Stop sending you marketing, at any time.

If you live in California

The California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights listed above, together with the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and disclose, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that Act, so there is nothing for you to opt out of. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.

Children

This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the foot of this page. Where a change is significant we will say so on the site rather than leave you to find it.
