A cast iron teapot in the tetsubin form, with a seigaiha wave pattern raised across the body in gold against black and a bail handle bound in natural rope. Cast iron is heavy and holds heat for a long time, which is the whole argument for it: a pot poured twenty minutes after brewing is still hot.
Features
- Cast iron body with a raised seigaiha wave pattern picked out in gold tone
- Holds heat far longer than glass or thin ceramic
- Overhead bail handle bound in natural rope
- Removable infuser basket inside the neck
- Substantial at 1220 g empty, which is what gives it the heat retention
- Removable stainless infuser basket sits inside the neck
